Splash About Fings Review

Swimming Aids For Toddlers

We are lucky enough to have been chosen by splash about UK to be one of their 2018 splash about Gurus. Anyone that knows me knows how much of a baby and toddler swimming advocate I am. It has been my favourite activity to do with both my babies since a few weeks old. It teaches them a life skill and something that could potentially save their lives. I am happiest when I am in or around water so it was a no brainer that my kids would be water babies too.
As a splash about Guru we have been able to test out some great products. You can find all my reviews linked below.

1. Splash About Wrap

I love swimming aids for toddlers in particular as they help keep learning interesting and fun. Fings buoyancy aid is designed to correctly position children in the water for swimming leaving their arms and legs with a full range of movement.

I was so excited to test out this product from Splash About UK. When we opened the box Eva’s face said it all. It definitely looks exciting and fun and she instantly loved it. I have to admit it looks pretty cool and intriguing. It feels really well made and robust so I had no problems letting Eva play around with it at home. We tested it out in our local pool. It is too big to fit into any of our swimming bags but is still much easier to carry than a woggle or inflatable. It is light weight and Eva loved it so much she had to carry it any way. With little to no direction Eva automatically used it how it was intended and after letting her play around for a few minutes I just adjusted her slightly for best positioning. It gave her really good buoyancy but allowed her arms complete freedom to practice swimming. She seemed to love the freedom and independence it gave her. We have used it numerous times since and I am pleasantly surprised at how well it is lasting. I haven’t given it any special care or attention and it still looks good as new. I have been pleasantly surprised with how robust it is as Eva has dragged it to and from the pool  each visit.

Pros

  • looks impressive and feels well made
  • Love the colours
  • Fun and practical to use
  • Really robust and easy to look after
  • Excellent value

Cons

  • Too big for swim bags but still smaller than woggles and most inflatables.

This is my favourite swimming product yet. I love the appearance and practicality of the design. It has really helped with Eva’s confidence and swimming.
